Dr. Sidharth Maheshwari

Assistant Professor · Computer Science and Engineering & Interdisciplinary Programs · IIT Jammu

sidharth.maheshwari@iitjammu.ac.in

Dr. Sidharth Maheshwari works on hardware/software co-design to address the computational and energy demands of data-intensive applications. His research brings together Embedded Genomics, intelligent battery management and resource-efficient machine learning.

He joined IIT Jammu in June 2023 after doctoral and postdoctoral research at Newcastle University (2016–2023). He received his BTech in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from IIT Guwahati in 2013.

More about his research

His Embedded Genomics vision is to bring genomic analysis closer to communities through low-cost, energy-efficient computing. He is exploring customised computational pipelines on embedded clusters for a mobile molecular diagnostics platform, including environmental water-quality and antimicrobial-resistance surveillance.

His group also studies AI-enabled battery diagnostics, battery-pack design for Indian climatic conditions, and Tsetlin Machines for embedded, IoT and edge applications.
